Healing Starts Here

  • Heal

Healing begins by slowing down and making space for the burdens you’ve carried for too long. Together, we will uncover how past wounds, unmet expectations, or unacknowledged hurts have shaped your inner landscape and your interaction with the world around you. It’s about more than just fixing symptoms-it’s about creating safety, easing old wounds, forming new patterns and learning new ways to relate to yourself with care.

  • Grow

Invigorated by your unburdening, you’ll begin to work on converting your healing into meaningful life changes. This phase is about integration, alignment, and rebuilding your life from your truest core. You’ll learn new ways to make decisions that reflect your authentic values and begin reclaiming autonomy over the aspects of your life that have been impacted by your burdens.

  • Thrive

Thriving is the culmination of this work—a place where you trust yourself, navigate challenges with resilience, and live with greater freedom and fulfillment. It’s the point where therapy has done its job, and you feel ready to carry your growth forward. Some client’s choose to continue their work addressing other goals or receiving ongoing support navigating life’s challenges. Counseling is tailored to each client’s specific needs and goals.

  • Depression can show up as persistent sadness, loss of interest, irritability or a sense of disconnection from life. I work with clients to explore the experiences and patterns that may have contributed to these feelings, helping them understand the “why” behind their emotional turmoil.

At the same time, I help clients develop practical strategies that help clients navigate daily challenges, manage low moods, and reconnect with sources of meaning and pleasure.

By combining insight with actionable tools, this work supports lasting shifts in perspective, self-compassion, and a renewed sense of engagement in life.

  • Anxiety often develops from past experiences that shaped how we learned to respond to stress or uncertainty. I help clients explore and work through these underlying patterns so they can begin to live life on their own terms, rather than experiencing only temporary relief from symptoms.

Alongside this deeper work, therapy also focuses on building practical coping strategies for the present moment. Together, we create tools that fit each client’s unique needs, helping them feel more grounded, capable, and confident in handling the challenges of daily life.

This combination of insight and skill-building supports lasting change, making space for greater ease, resilience, and self-trust.

  • In my practice, trauma is understood as anything that felt like it was a) too much, b) too fast, or c) too little. What matters most is the client’s experience of the event and not how society might label it.

If an experience has affected a client in ways that make emotional, behavioral, or social functioning more difficult, then approaching it through a trauma-informed lens can support healing that is deep and transformative rather than just surface-level.

Some clients may hesitate to label their hardships as “trauma”-and that’s completely okay. Part of trauma-informed care means honoring the language that feels right for each person, working at a pace that matches their readiness, and continually building a therapeutic relationship where they can feel safe and supported.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a research-supported therapy that helps the brain process and heal from distressing experiences. By using gentle bilateral stimulation, such as guided eye movements or buzzers in each hand, EMDR supports the brain’s natural ability to resolve painful memories and reduce the intensity of emotional triggers.

While EMDR is best known for treating trauma, it can also be effective for a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, grief, addiction and issues related to self-esteem or performance. Clients do not need to share every detail of their experiences for EMDR to be helpful. The reduced need for verbal processing helps client’s who have difficulty verbalizing their feelings or who want to process something they are not yet ready to verbalize. EMDR can provide healing for those who have struggled with talk therapy in the past.

At its core, EMDR helps people feel less stuck and more resilient, creating space for meaningful growth and relief in daily life.

  • Sobriety does not have to be a one-size-fits-all destination. It can be understood as a spectrum. For some, this may mean complete abstinence, while for others it may involve reducing use, exploring periods of sobriety, or redefining their relationship with alcohol or substances in a way that feels sustainable.

I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore where you are on this spectrum and what changes may feel right for you. Rather than focusing on rigid rules, I emphasize being curious about change, self-compassion, and creating choices that align with your values and goals.

Exploring sobriety is ultimately about building a life that feels more balanced, authentic, and supportive of your well-being.

  • Some adults who grew up in families affected by alcohol/drug use or other dysfunction carry forward patterns that can feel confusing or overwhelming in their present lives. These early environments often shape how people relate to others, manage emotions, and view themselves. This can sometimes leading to challenges with trust, self-worth, or setting boundaries.

In therapy, I seek to provide a space to gently explore these patterns and understand how the past may still be influencing the present. I seek to guide my clients in identifying and untangling old survival strategies, developing healthier coping skills, and building more fulfilling relationships.

This work is not about blaming the past, but about reclaiming choice and creating a future that feels safer, freer, and more authentic.

Get to know me

Originally from New Jersey, I fell in love with South Florida during my undergraduate years at the University of Miami. After earning my Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University, I returned to the warmth and energy of South Florida to begin my career in local addiction treatment centers.

During my three years in that field, I gained invaluable experience. More importantly, I discovered that my true passion lies in helping clients heal beyond the bounds of diagnosis and symptom management. I came to understand that the disease I was treating was often a symptom of deeper trauma. This insight shaped the foundation of my current practice, where I focus on addressing the root causes of suffering and guiding clients toward lasting, meaningful healing.

Outside the office, you’ll most often find me curled up with a good book and my two cats, or exploring Fort Lauderdale’s vibrant restaurant scene.
